Ron Fletcher (1921-2011) studied under Joseph and Clara Pilates; he was an American Pilates Master Teacher. He was brought to Joe, recommended by a fellow dancer, because of a chronic knee injury. Ron began his career as a dancer for the Martha Graham Dance Company, and he also worked on the Broadway stage and in television. Ron later combined elements of Martha Graham modern dance with the Pilates method, referred to as “ The Ron Fletcher Work.”
