Bruce King

Bruce King was a dancer with the Merce Cunningham Dance Company and the Almyn Nikolais Company. He also had his own Bruce King Dance Company. Bruce began his early training with Joe Pilates. In the mid 1970s he opened his own Pilates studio in NYC on W 73rd street, and traveled the country to share his Pilates wisdom.
As remembered by Pat Guyton, during Bruce’s visit to Colorado in 1988, “Bruce was very precise, detailed, and a consummate teacher employing an economy of words with exquisite demonstration.”
